Applications : Semagacestat inhibits γ‑secretase–mediated cleavage of APP, reducing Aβ42, Aβ38, and Aβ40 with IC₅₀ values near 11–12 nM, and also blocks Notch signaling (IC₅₀ = 14.1 nM). Its dual effects on amyloid production and Notch pathways make it a valuable tool for Alzheimer’s disease research.
