Applications : Siramesine is a potent sigma‑2 receptor agonist with subnanomolar affinity (IC₅₀ = 0.12 nM) and 140‑fold selectivity over sigma‑1 receptors (IC₅₀ = 17 nM). It induces mitochondrial destabilization–mediated cell death and exhibits anticancer activity.
