Applications : Sulfamethoxazole-d4 is a deuterium-labelled version of Sulfamethoxazole. This can be used as an analytical labelled reference standard. Sulfamethoxazole is a sulfonamide antibiotic with broad antibacterial activity. It inhibits bacterial folate metabolism by competing with PABA for dihydropteroate synthetase and reductase. Sulfamethoxazole is used to study urinary tract infections, prostatitis, and bronchitis.
