Applications : This is an impurity of Vasopressin, which is a cyclic nonapeptide synthesized within the hypothalamus. It plays a significant role in the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and modulates pituitary corticotropin secretion by enhancing the stimulatory effects of corticotropin-releasing factor. In addition, Vasopressin may function as a neurotransmitter, exerting its effects through binding to specific G protein-coupled receptors.
