Applications : Vigabatrin-13Cd2 is a double-labelled version of Vigabatrin. This can be used as an analytical labelled reference standard. Vigabatrin hydrochloride is a vinyl derivative of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA, functions as an orally active and irreversible inhibitor of GABA transaminase. As an antiepileptic agent, Vigabatrin hydrochloride increases GABA concentrations in the brain by inhibiting its catabolism through GABA transaminase inhibition.
