Applications : Vitamin D3 decanoate is a derivative of Vitamin D3 that can be metabolically converted into the biologically active form of Vitamin D within the body. Initially, it undergoes conversion to 25-Hydroxyvitamin D3 in the liver, followed by further transformation into 1,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3 in the kidneys. During formulation, Vitamin D3 may react with triglycerides, resulting in the formation of ester compounds; this esterification process can influence both the stability and bioavailability of Vitamin D3. Pre-vitamin D3 decanoate is utilized in research related to diseases associated with Vitamin D, including osteoporosis, autoimmune disorders, and certain malignancies.
