Applications : This is an impurity of Voriconazole, which is a second-generation, broad-spectrum triazole antifungal agent that functions by inhibiting fungal ergosterol biosynthesis. Its antifungal mechanism involves the suppression of 14-α-lanosterol demethylation, a process mediated by fungal cytochrome P450 enzymes. Additionally, Voriconazole is capable of penetrating the blood-brain barrier (BBB).
