Applications : (Z)-Dimethomorph is a geometrical isomer of Dimethomorph, which is a fungicide and categorized under sterol biosynthesis inhibitors. It prevents the development of fungal cell walls. (Z)-Dimethomorph is the primary active isomer, providing excellent control against oomycete pathogens, while (E)-Dimethomorph possesses significantly lower or minimal fungicidal activity. Commercial Dimethomorph is usually a 1:1 mixture of both isomers but (Z)-dimethomorph is specifically responsible for the high fungicidal efficacy in preventing Phytophthora and Peronospora diseases.
